How Pricing & Markup Work

Our kids holiday gift shop is designed so students can shop independently, choose gifts on their own, and stay within a budget their families set in advance. Natalie’s Holiday Shops allows each school to choose a pricing option that fits its goals. The markup selected determines the retail price students see and the profit the school earns. Schools may choose a profit level between 0% and 30%.

For best results, we typically recommend selecting a profit range between 0% and 20% to keep prices family-friendly while still generating meaningful funds for your school.

All Gift Items have Price Stickers

All gift items in our store are price coded (PC). Each PC number corresponds to a specific retail price, based on the selected markup.

Example: 10% markup

PC 5 = $3.25
PC 11 = $11.50

This means that when a 10% markup is applied, any item assigned:

PC 5 will retail for $3.50
PC 11 will retail for $12.75

The holiday shop is designed to offer variety throughout the event. Not all gift items may be available every day. Students are encouraged to use gift guide envelopes to plan purchases.

This approach helps manage inventory while giving students flexibility in their shopping choices.

Running Low on Merchandise?

If your store runs low on gift items. We offer a next day air service. Where you can re-order specific gift items through our online cash register system and they will arrive to the school the next day.

We typically start your store off with plenty of merchandise but we offer this service just in case!
